So, committed I have become!
The old credit card came flying out of my wallet far too easily and now here I am, registered for the 2012 BMO Vancouver Half Marathon on May 6! I'm relieved it's all done and confirmed because I have been hearing that the event is selling quickly. Phew!
BMO was the first half marathon I ever ran back in 2008 and my first HM clinic instructor has always bugged me to go do "my race" again. So I am. And I'm pretty excited about it. Let's see if I can match the excitement of doing it the first time...
I guess I've got some work to do now...

- Update the countdown ticker on my blog (most importantly, of course!)
- Come up with some kind of training plan
- Start tagging along for the long runs of the current BMO clinic at our local store
- Get out and find that more flattering rain jacket! If you look good, you feel good and if you feel good, you run good, right? Obviously, a new jacket is therefore an essential component of this being a successful round of training!
But first, like any good runner, I am going to finish milking the last few days of my post-race rest week. I've thoroughly enjoyed barely thinking about my running and not feeling guilty about it. I think in some way I burned out a little before the Van First Half and truly resting during this week is a big part of shaking that off and getting psyched to continue and start working towards BMO Van 2012!

Yay! That's so exciting! I hope I get to meet up with you that weekend when I'm in the city!!!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you!! Hope this half marathon is as memorable as your first!!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite running jacket is from Lululemon- so flattering! But also $$...
