Made it safe to Seattle...

So today we made the first leg of our journey down to Orlando.  Being that we live so close to the US border, we can often get cheaper flights by flying out of nearby US cities.  This trip in particular we saved quite a bit by flying out of Seattle, so that's what we did.

I was glad that I had chipped away at my packing all week because this morning was relaxed on that front - all I had to do was a last load of laundry for a couple last items I wanted to take.  It was good I didn't have much to do because I was able to enjoy my morning and take Marcus off to preschool.  Unfortunately my other son still isn't feeling great so he was a bit clingy this morning which would have made it impossible if I had lots of packing left to do.

When my fellow Goofy runner came to pick me up it, I couldn't believe the time was finally here.  I've looked forward to and planned this trip for so long.  I was sad to leave the kids of course but they're in good hands with Hubs and their grandparents for the week.

Our drive down was uneventful and we met up with the others from our group at the hotel.  A yummy dinner of pulled pork sandwiches and now here we are, tucked into bed, ready to go to sleep for our early am wake up calls.

What else would a great marathoner-to-be write on the
paper-covered table if given crayons?

So this is it!  We're on our way!  We'll be arriving in Orlando late tomorrow afternoon and then it's off to Disneyworld for the rest of this exciting adventure.  Wishing safe travels to all my fellow runners heading down to Florida this week - can't wait to see you all there!
